Therapist

Relationships are often difficult to navigate. EFT is a model of therapy that can facilitate a healthier and stronger connection in relationships. My goal is to offer a safe environment for clients to address challenges in life, such as problems in relationships, grief and loss, behavioral problems and child behavioral problems, and overcoming low self-esteem. I love helping people find what works for them. My approach is warm and genuine. I believe that people can overcome anything if they have the right tools. My aim is to help you find those tools and use them.

I have special training in evidence-based practices that deal with trauma (EMDR), relationships (EFT), grief and loss, childhood anxiety and behavioral issues (MAP and TF-CBT), and parenting(Triple P). I believe people have, within themselves, what it takes to make positive changes using therapy as a collaborative effort.

Navigating life can be difficult. Navigating relationships can be even more complicated. I have experience with members of the LDS church as well as those who are of other faiths. In addition, I have life experience that makes me uniquely qualified to help. Finding the model of therapy that works for you is key to success in counseling.

Feeling anchored to past trauma, grief, or neglect can halt our progress, stop us from experiencing positive emotions in our daily life, and strain our valued relationships. Understanding trauma and the effects it has on how we live our lives in the present is a large focus of the treatment I provide. My goal is to offer a safe space for clients to address these traumas, or any other difficulties that leave them feeling immobilized and lacking in the present. Such difficulties may include: PTSD, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, self-esteem/body image, faith transitions, addiction, and betrayal trauma.

I have specific training in evidence-based practices that treat trauma (EMDR, TFCBT, Narrative), Addiction, depression, and anxiety (DBT), and relationships (Family Systems, Experiential). I have experience treating childhood trauma, sexual trauma, victims of domestic violence, victims of sex trafficking, and other variations of complex trauma.

Finding a therapist you trust to be there with you in your healing is most important. Compassion, empathy, humility, and humor are just some of my personality traits I bring into therapy. I offer free phone consultations in order for you to ask any questions or share any concerns regarding if you and I would be a good fit.

CARLY NIELSEN, CSW

Therapist

My aim in working with individuals is to create an inclusive and supportive therapeutic environment using empathy, compassion, and authenticity. I offer a flexible, client-centered approach to therapy. This means that I view the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative process where client and therapist work together to develop goals and objectives for therapy and explore the best ways to go about it.

I have experience and enjoy working with individuals dealing with a range of issues relating to self-acceptance, anxiety, depression, complex trauma, body positivity, emotion regulation, codependency, impulsivity, and attachment-based issues. I have clinical interest in issues related to shame and guilt when it comes to emotional and physical intimacy.

I recognize that starting therapy can be an incredibly intimidating and vulnerable experience so please feel free to reach out and schedule a phone consultation to see if you think we would be a good fit.

RENEE COLLINS, ACMHC

Therapist

Hi I’m Renee. I am passionate about helping individuals, couples and families work through trauma, using evidence-based models of treatment.

Life can be overwhelming, but I believe every person has incredible power within them to change for the better. My goal is to focus on both how the past shaped current struggles in my client’s lives, and also to give them practical strategies to use now, to improve their situation and mindsets. I work from an Internal Family Systems Therapy perspective, with a focus on Person-Centered and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I am also fully EMDR trained.

I have a special interest in working with individuals who have struggled with toxic and abusive relationships—those who might be in such relationships now, and those recovering from the after-effects. I also enjoy working with couples and teenagers. I specialize in sexual issues, in and out of relationships, depression and anxiety.

I have always been fascinated by people and relationships. My interests have led me to explore the human mind through writing, and I am the author of three published novels. Now, I channel that passion into my clients and discovering their stories. I want to hear yours!

AURELIE TAUZIN

Therapist

Life is a roller-coaster: often challenging and sometimes overwhelming. However, I believe that
everyone can find their strength and their own path through trauma and difficult decisions. This
journey can be painful and difficult, as well as rewarding and liberating. I would like to be your
guide on this healing journey and support you in connecting with your own self, recognizing
your own needs, working on creating new boundaries, breaking cycles of unhealthy patterns, and
developing new healthy relationships. Attachment, resilience, coping skills, and regulation of
emotions are aspects that everyone develops in childhood to different degrees. I would like to
accompany you as you develop them in a healthy way.
As a multicultural therapist, I have deep knowledge and awareness of differences among
individuals. I have worked for years with children and families in France and the United States.
These experiences have shown me that one method may be a great fit for one person but not
necessarily for another one. I like to think of therapy as holistic and will work with different
techniques, including DBT, CBT, Family Systems therapy, play therapy, and Gestalt therapy to
meet your specific needs in your specific context.
I would love to collaborate with you as you find your way, far from the thoughts that don’t
define you and the behaviors that are not who you are. By connecting you with your emotions
and your inner world, I hope to guide you towards a loving awareness of who you are and bring
you peace.

SHANNEE DAVIDSON

Therapist

I specialize in Trauma, Couples Counseling, and Self Worth. My therapy style is very intuitive and grounded in a gentle approach using Internal Family Systems (IFS). I don’t just want to help you by listening, but by helping you get curious about your thoughts, emotions, body sensations and limiting beliefs. In couples work, the quality of our relationships with other people is very dependent on the relationship with our own self.

All conflict in relationships stem from underlying emotions and limiting beliefs. I use active interventions in session to enhance emotional connection and healthy communication which allows deeper awareness and healing to start occurring.

Our self worth is heavily influenced by unresolved pain from the past which can emerge and affect how we feel and see ourselves. I help you take a deeper look at a pace that feels right for you. I absolutely love this work and am extremely grateful to learn with others and hold space where I can.
